We have recently expanded our already comprehensive high quality stock range of aluminium profiles with a natural anodised surface finish.

Even more aluminium angles, aluminium channels and various architectural profiles, shapes and mouldings have been added to the ‘off the shelf’ surface finish options at Gooding Aluminium.One of the advantages of architectural anodising is that it adds both protective and aesthetic features to aluminium. The electrolytic process thickens, seals and hardens the protective film that is already present on the aluminium surface.

Anodic films are not simply coatings but are integrated with the metal’s surface structure and are therefore less likely to crack and peel.

It is also good to know that one of the wonders of anodising is that it produces superb metallic translucent effects. This is something that cannot be achieved with other surface treatments.

With an ever increasing emphasis being placed on service longevity and ease of maintenance etc., anodised aluminium is coming up trumps being durable, easy to clean, environmentally safe and economically viable to recycle, while looking great into the bargain!

In case this is your first visit, here are some of the special qualities of our perforated sheets;

Cleanliness: We only use naturally evaporating lubricants to assist with the perforating process.
Edge detail: Standard stock size panels are always supplied with an unpunched ‘safe edge’ border.
Flatness: Our technologically advanced production methods minimise surface curl in perforated sheets and help to produce commercially and visually acceptable degrees of flatness.
Missing or imperfect hole shapes: Although not standard industry practice we only supply perforated aluminium sheets with 100% hole pattern conformity.
Surface protection: Protective polythene film on the top face side is applied to help protect from the rigours of the perforating process.

Aluminium is incredible stuff! It is a unique metal with a positive image that naturally appeals to the professional specifier and installer. This incredibly versatile material, when combined with its alloys, can be folded, formed, machined or worked using a wide range of processes. Thanks to these excellent material properties, aluminium has become widely used within an extensive variety of architectural and related applications.

In this example, Brunel University used perforated aluminium ceiling panels
